Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for building and construction materials.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive prices and favorable terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in SAP.
- Review purchase requisitions and ensure timely procurement of required materials.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations and conduct commercial evaluations.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Monitor purchase orders, delivery schedules, and outstanding procurement requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Coordinate with project, warehouse, finance, and operations teams regarding material requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve delivery or quality-related issues.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and approved procedures.
- Prepare procurement reports and analyze purchasing data using Microsoft Excel.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and identify reliable suppliers for construction materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Procurement Officer or in a similar procurement role.
- SAP experience is mandatory.
- Experience in procuring building and construction materials is mandatory.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are mandatory.
- Good knowledge of local and international suppliers and material markets.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
- Experience in the construction / building materials industry is highly preferred.
