A well-established engineering and contracting organization in Qatar is looking for an experienced Senior MEP Engineer with strong expertise in mechanical design and water and wastewater infrastructure systems. The ideal candidate should have proven Qatar project experience and hands-on knowledge of STP, wastewater treatment, sewage pumping stations, plumbing, RO, piping, and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical design activities for MEP and infrastructure projects.
• Design and review systems related to STP, wastewater treatment, and sewage pumping stations.
• Develop and review plumbing, piping, RO, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and ensure appropriate system sizing and design.
• Select and specify pumps and other mechanical equipment based on project requirements.
• Prepare and review P&IDs and PFDs.
• Develop and review mechanical layouts, technical drawings, and design documentation.
• Coordinate mechanical designs with civil, electrical, architectural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review technical specifications, drawings, calculations, and project deliverables.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable Qatar standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Support site teams during implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Monitor project progress and coordinate design deliverables using appropriate project management tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design.
• Strong hands-on experience in:
  • STP and wastewater treatment systems
  • Sewage pumping stations
  • Plumbing systems
  • RO systems
  • Piping systems
  • Hydraulic calculations
  • Pump selection
  • P&IDs
  • PFDs
• Proven Qatar project experience is mandatory.
• Valid Qatar MMUP / UPDA / MME registration is mandatory.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
• Strong technical coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and project coordination abilities.
